Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970, in Delhi, India. He hails from a distinguished political lineage: his father, Rajiv Gandhi, served as India’s Prime Minister, and his grandmother, Indira Gandhi, and great-grandfather, Jawaharlal Nehru, also held the same position. His mother, Sonia Gandhi, has been a key figure in the Indian National Congress (Congress Party).
